In early October, KMVT 15 will air live debates on Comcast Channel 15 for Mountain View and Los Altos City Council candidates. Covering these forums and debates gives residents a resource to stay up to date with current issues.

Alicia Crank

Alicia Crank, a native of Detroit, MI,has been a Mountain View resident since 1998. She has served the Mountain View community in various capacities, including the City of Mountain View's Human Relations Commission and serving on the boards of Community Services Agency (CSA), Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC), Mountain View Rotary Club and KMVT 15 Silicon Valley Community Media. In addition, Alicia spent the past 6 years as a mentor with MVLA Community Scholars and two years on the Measure C Parcel Tax Oversight Committee. With a career background in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, Alicia is celebrating her sixth year as the Director of Leadership Mountain View.

Sam Harding

KMVT's LACC Candidates Debate Moderator is Sam Harding—a longtime Los Altos resident, community volunteer & local businessman. Sam, a Boston native, first came to Los Altos 45 years ago when he married his wife, Janet, in the backyard of her parents’ Los Altos Hills home. Los Altos residents since 1972, the couple moved in 1976 to the house and neighborhood they’ve called “home” for the past 38 years. Sam is founder and president of Retirement Administration Inc., a ten-person record-keeping and retirement plan consulting company in Los Altos. Always an active community volunteer, Sam serves on various regional boards and committees. He is a past- president of the Rotary Club of Los Altos, past-Chairman of the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and was a long term member of the El Camino YMCA board of directors. As his sons Peter & Daniel were growing up, Sam coached innumerable soccer, basketball & baseball teams and assisted in the schools in every possible way. He’s still working with our youth as a weekly volunteer with a first-grade class at Almond School for Mentor Tutor Connection (formerly Partners for a New Generation.) Sam is semi-retired and his current interests center around his family, especially five local grandchildren. He also enjoys swimming, Bikram yoga, biking, reading and traveling the world.
