Jason O'Mahony

Jason O'Mahony loves stories, particularly those told through film and television. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of production and has worked in the US and Europe.

Under his tenure the Kerry Film Festival (KFF) was the fastest growing festival of any kind in Ireland, with audience numbers increasing by more than 700% in four years. He brought Liam Neeson and Michael Fassbender on board to adjudicate at KFF and instigated The Maureen O’ Hara Award, one of the few film awards, anywhere in the world, offered exclusively to women. As Cork Screen Commissioner he brought Neil Jordan and Jeremy Irons on board as ambassadors for Cork film.

He has produced, written and directed a number of award winning short films and television documentaries and is currently plying his trade as producer at Udacity, an ed-tech startup that plans on democratizing education!
