Director, Special Projects
As Director of Special Projects, I work in production, promotion, outreach, branding and marketing. I get to produce new programs, create wonderful relationships, open new opportunities and tell memorable stories while working with the stellar KMVT members, board, staff and all the communities served by the station.
I have spent my career in mass media communications. As adjunct journalism professor at Gavilan College, I teach classes in theory, practice and media production. For the past decade I worked as programming manager of a five-channel cable television station on the California Central Coast. During that time, I developed, produced and directed award-winning programs and earned the 2009 ACM West Brian Wilson Mentorship Award. While producer for NPR affiliate KAZU in Pacific Grove, I had the opportunity to partner with KQED on the long-running show Health Dialogues. I earned a BA degree in Behavioral Science and an MS degree in Mass Communication, both from San Jose State University.
