KMVT Sports Production Internship |
|
If you love sports and may be interested in a future in sports production, this internship may be right for you! Every season, KMVT accepts one (1) sports production intern.
KMVT covers local High School Sports with our remote production truck in the Mountain View and Los Altos areas. Assist with football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, waterpolo and softball productions. Gain real hands-on experience with seasoned professionals.
Tasks include:
- Assist with location setup
- Operate camera during production
- Create and edit video promos for upcoming games
- Assist with updating TV Guide schedule
Requirements:
- Flexible schedule, available mostly weekday afternoons and evenings, some Saturdays
- Ability to work 10-12 hours/week during the internship session, mainly in the afternoons & evenings
- Ability to carry camera and equipment cases
- Working knowledge of Windows 2000, XP and MS Office.
- Some previous non-linear computer editing experience
- Knowledge of DV camcorders
- Adobe Photoshop a plus
- Must show initiative, multi-tasking skills and able to work in a team environment.
Commitment
We need you to be able to commit to a minimum of 120 hours, or 10 hours/week, flexible dates, and to be able to work at least once a week at our location in Mountain View. The duration of the internship is about 3-4 months.
Compensation
Internships are unpaid. As an intern you will have access to all of our video production training courses, with the ability to produce your own television or web show.

In addition, KMVT serves as the premier creative agency for high end, innovative video and broadcast production services to corporate, non-profit, and government organizations. KMVT offers program sponsorship opportunities and media production training throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
