LOCAL SPORTS
Producer: Bobby Chastain
Local Sports is KMVT's premier connection with the community. In June of 2006 our remarkable Sports Producer Laz Sarigiannides passed on his role to our talented Bobby Chastain, who will continue to use the mobile studio and volunteer camera operators to shoot more than 160 high-school sporting events a year! As Sports Producer for the last 10 years, Laz produced over 1000 high school sporting events. (A popular program like Friends would have produced 250 shows in that time.) No window on the community is more treasured than KMVT's high school sports coverage. This aspect of our program creates immense good will.
RANDOM ACCESS
is produced by students in our Studio Production Workshop during the fifth and final night of their class. It features two segments and gives the student crew opportunity to rotate in different crew positions. In one show, we featured a DJ and break-dancers for the first segment and a classical quartet for the second segment. The guy who produced the scratcher segment interviewed the lead violinist. This is the kind of magic mix you get with public access.
SPEAK OUT

If you live in Mountain View, Cupertino, and Los Altos you can come down and speak in front of our camera on ANY subject under the sun as long as it has no direct or indirect commercial connection. Speak Out opportunities are offered on selected dates; call for details.
