KMVT 15 Silicon Valley Community Media exists so that ANYONE can produce their own show. No prior experience is needed! Here at KMVT we have two kinds of producers: ACCESS or IMPORT
KMVT Access Producer
An ACCESS Producer is a resident of Mountain View, Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, or Sunnyvale, that is an active member at KMVT15, and produces content with resources we provide for the community at large.
If you have an idea for a new TV Show, or want to produce short films, documentaries, or even your own movie, become a KMVT Access Producer! We’ll teach you how to create, plan, and produce your own project.
To become a KMVT 15 Community Access Producer you must complete our Producer Training Workshops. The price of the first class covers one year of an active membership at KMVT! If you are planning to shoot outside of the studio you can also sign up for our complementary Field Production workshop after completing the introductory courses.
As an ACCESS Producer, your programs will air on KMVT 15 on Comcast Channel 15 and AT&T Uverse Channel 99 and YouTube. In addition to the training courses and membership, please complete the following items:
- Submit Access User Application
- Review the “Community Access User’s Guide”
- Access Producer Statement of Compliance Form
- Once your training is complete, you may start checking out equipment, booking studio time, and recruiting crew from the KMVT crew database. To produce your show:
- Schedule a studio slot and plan your show
- Submit your show to the station for airing on Comcast and ATT!
Import Producer
An IMPORT Producer is someone who wishes to bring externally produced content to air on KMVT15.
For an annual fee you can have your show or series air every week on our public access channel!

Producer Fees
$40/year – Access Usage: Mountain View, Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills & Sunnyvale residents.
$600/year – Import Producer broadcasts are guaranteed 2 time slot per week, for a 30 minute episode. If you need more than 30 minutes per week, please contact info@kmvt15.org.
Commercial Use – We rent our Studio for video and photography production, as well as podcast recording. Please reach out to info@kmvt15.org for commercial rate requests.
