2-Week Action Filmmaking Camp

Your mission, should you choose to accept it… is to join KMVT’s Action Filmmaking Camp this summer!

Discover what it’s really like behind the scenes, working with a team of creative peers and educators to produce short films and skits. In KMVT’s new, 2-week camp, we’ll be exploring the high-energy world of Film production by producing Action film ideas in small groups. Our new genre based curriculum will allow an in-depth focus on advanced storytelling and filmmaking techniques centered around the Action films that your kids love.

This workshop is designed to accelerate the creative process in a non-stop, action-packed camp of epic productions. As part of a KMVT crew, you’ll explore every role—from camera operator, sound, and lights, to writer, director, and actor extraordinaire. Finally, as an editor you’ll be in charge of the final cut, sharing your unique vision with everyone in camp, friends and family!

What to expect:

• This is a two week camp so we’ll be working hard and having fun for 10 total days!
• This camp has a suggested age range of 10-15.
• Working in small groups, students will develop an Action film concept to create during this two week camp.
• Students will be respectful of each other’s ideas, and play a role in the production even if they aren’t on screen
• This is a truly educational experience guided by working broadcast professionals and filmmakers.
• Camp hours are 9am – 4pm. 
  • Early drop off at 8:30am
  • Pickup by 4:30 pm
