Get hands-on in our TV studio and become a pro streamer at KMVT’s Live Broadcast Camp this Summer!
Discover what it is really like behind the scenes at a TV channel by working with a team of creative peers to produce engaging livestreams. In KMVT’s new 1-week workshop, we’ll be exploring the increasingly popular, but technically demanding world of live broadcasts by developing our own live TV shows. Our newly created broadcast curriculum leverages our channel’s industry standard equipment and experienced staff of broadcast technicians to offer a truly immersive and educationally enriching experience.
This workshop is designed to give you all the tools you need to become a streamer through hands-on experience with industry standard broadcast equipment as well as software you can use at home! As part of a KMVT crew, you’ll explore every role–from camera operator, sound, and lights, to live graphics, broadcast director, and streamer extraordinaire! Whether your goal is to create a news broadcast, talk show, or Twitch style gaming streams, this camp will prepare you to stream like a pro!

What to expect:
- This is a one week camp so we’ll be working hard and having fun for 5 total days!
- This camp has a suggested age range of 10-15.
- Working in small groups, students will develop a live broadcast TV concept to create during the one week workshop.
- Students will be respectful of each other’s ideas, and play a role in the production even if they aren’t on screen.
- This is a truly educational experience guided by working broadcast professionals and filmmakers.
- Camp hours are 9am – 4pm.
- Early drop off at 8:30am
- Pickup by 4:30 pm
